A significant aspect of WML’s role centred upon co-ordinating activities with the mechanical and hydraulic disciplines in relation to installation of plant and infrastructure
The project encompassed a mine shift from Wagerup to Tutunup. WML were engaged to provide geotechnical, civil and structural design, technical support and construction supervision..
WML Services included
- Civil design of earthworks for process areas, offices, tailings dams and a process water dam
- Civil design of hardstands and surfacing
- Civil design of haul roads
- Civil design of sub-surface and surface drainage systems
- Structural design of reinforced concrete foundations and bases for re-located plant and infrastructure including a Wet Concentrator
- Structural design of reinforced concrete retaining walls, slabs, pedestals and bunding for process areas
- Structural design of a Hydrosizer Building
- Structural design a tilting grizzly drive over road hopper
- Structural design for modifications to plant and structures relocated from other sites
- Construction supervision, technical support and QA implementation of civil and structural works
