TREENDALE ESTATE AND DISTRICT CENTRE
Client: Treendale Estate
Project Value: $70m
Year: 2000 – ongoing
Treendale is a large multi staged residential, commercial and industrial estate located in Australind in the Southwest. The project has involved the release of approximately 1500 lots as well as a district level shopping centre, a commercial precinct and Industrial zone.
In the last 2 years WML have designed and provided Superintendency services to deliver multiple stages of this development. Works for this estate are ongoing, with residential and commercial lots being released in various size stages. The last to be developed has a construction period of 32 weeks given the large nature of the project. WML’s deliverables for this project are full subdivision design, including bulk earthworks, retaining walls, sewer reticulation, water reticulation, drainage – including multi staged drainage management studies, roadworks, communications, power and contract administration/superintendent services.
Project outcomes have been consistently positive for this estate with stages being delivered efficiently and on time. With the escalation in costs over recent years budgets have been continually renewed with stages regularly delivered without cost overruns. WML have maintained a close relationship with the Project Manager throughout the project.
Construction budgets, quality and programme are closely monitored between WML and the Project Manager for each stage and the process continually reviewed to identify means of accelerating completion of lots and issuing of titles for the client Water Sensitive Urban Design principles have been implemented extensively throughout this project with it being rewarded with the 2012 Urban Water Excellence award at the UDIA Awards.
